Description
Highly sought after bit of vinyl. Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath. Vertigo records. Produced in 1970, cat number VO 6 / 847 903 VTY / 847 903 2Y. Original gatefold Sleeve and inner swirl sleeve. .The record has the Philips product text as can be seen in the pictures which I am told makes it a very first press. The record has (dunbar) after the track 'warning'. I'm not sure what 'ossie credit' means, but in the inside of the pic sleeve, it states 'ossie osbourne - vocals,harmonica'. I am just going by what I have picked up from the other auction, but if you need to know anything more about the record, please feel free to ask me whatever you like.
Condition: VG/G?
Side B:
First 20 seconds or so is a bit crackly/clicky. The remainder of the side plays fairly well - As to be expected on a vinyl which has marks, the quieter the music is, the more obvious any affect on sound, but not so bad as to spoil the track and during the louder moments, it plays good ,but you can still hear light ticks in the background. Some areas play VG+, but generally there is some affect on sound almost throughout. Still sounds pretty good, but clearly not mint in appearance or playback. This side might rate as VG, but its not going to be the top end of VG
Side A:
Side B sounds slightly better than Side A. The tracks are still enjoyable, but the are slightly more and slightly louder clicks, track 4 plays better, perhaps as VG, but overall I would rate this side as good+. Like I say,still enjoyable unless ur a mint only collector, but there is more affect on sound / more clicks n pops than I would be personally happy with on a vinyl rated as a VG.
To summarise, A fairly well played piece with some BG noise almost throughout. An acceptable level on side B , not quite as good on side A - that doesnt mean it's ruined, it means not quite as good. Obviously not suitable if you are after an excellent copy, but if you are looking to pay a little less than the going rate (which is usually hundreds of ££) for an excellent copy, then still a playable, enjoyable copy of this highly collectible piece, with no skips

Vinyl : VG/good+
IF you are based in the UK: Included free in this sale are 2 other records - 1 is a white label which has 'black
sabbath - paranoid' on one side, but i dont know what the track on the other side is. The other free record is by
Helloween' entitled - keeper of the seven keys and is a blue vinyl but note there is a warp on the edge and the
record skips,but most of it plays well. I dont think either of these are worth selling seperate, so I'm just
chucking them in as extra stiffeners. If you are based outside of the UK,then i will also include these free as
long as you pay a couple of quid extra to cover postage
