Description
Here is another copy of the album. The non-laminated gatefold sleeve is in great strong, clean, square condition and was made by Howards Printers of Slough. In my youth I used to go there on the 457 Greenline bus from Uxbridge but enough of that. No marks, splits or tears but signs of very minor rubbing on the corners and parts of the edges. The spine is in nice shape. The 4-page (folded) inner booklet is clean and fresh as are both inners. I give the sleeve a rating of 8.5 /10.
The vinyl is flat, no dishing, and the labels are clean. On the run-off grooves, side A machine etched matrix no. is 6360071 1Y // 1 followed by 1 1 17 and side B matrix no. is 6360071 2Y // 1 followed by 1 1 2. Also in both runoffs is something like FECXC but is hand scratched I think and hard to read and is obviously part of the manufacturing process. The spindle holes are tight and show evidence of a handful of plays. For the vinyl itself, it's shiny and fresh looking but does show paper, scuff and handling marks under a searching and unforgiving light. This is a consequence of poor handling in the past. In grading parlance I would give it an EXC- or 8 /10.
The Vertigo polythene lined inner bag is in unmarked and untorn shape but does show age and glue browning as the photos illustrate.
