BLACK SABBATH "VOL.4"
FROM RECORD COLLECTOR 3rd issue on Vertigo ‘Spaceship’ label (rarer than the mass produced 1st issue – see notes above – and probably as rare as the 2nd issue with ‘Made In England on label. Mint spaceship copies can be worth more than Swirls…)Spaceship version has same 1Y//2 and 2Y//2 matrices and same ‘Deluxe’ sleeve with track times as 2nd issue above.This Spaceship version had a very limited production(1000 COPIES) run as Black Sabbath were unhappy with the record company and their management taking the vast majority of their earnings (allegedly), so WWA Records was set up for their next (5th) studio album (“Sabbath Bloody Sabbath”) to give them more financial control. Some countries issued “Sabbath Bloody Sabbath” on the swirl label…

This is the very rare 2nd UK pressing of this LP in great condition! It has the Roger Dean designed "Spaceship" label. These were only available to buy for a matter of months! Consequently they are extremely scarce! It has a matt gatefold sleeve.

The record has 1#-2/ 2#-2 matrix stampers. This copy is much rarer than the original UK "Swirl" Vertigo pressing. This is a great copy too!

Gatefold Sleeve: Very nice! There is some mild rubbing wear only.  NEAR EX condition.

Vinyl: Very few plays! Just some extremely marks light sleeve rubs can be seen under a strong light. plays to very light background noise: EX- condition.  The labels are love.
