BLACK SABBATH :- Original 1970 UK Swirl Vertigo VO6 LP with Gatefold Sleeve. Complete with original polylined Vertigo Liner Sleeve

First Issue , with the large 'swirl' logo on the label - later copies had smaller swirl , and 'Vertigo' print placed beneath

Original Issue Sleeve , with the 'inverted cross' on inner leaf - with No reference to music publishers on the track listing

Black Sabbath: Ozzy Osbourne (vocals, harmonica); Tony Iommi (guitar); Geezer Butler (bass); Bill Ward (drums).The archetypal heavy metal band, Black Sabbath unleashed a debut album marked by basic riffs, power chords and the faintest whiff of satanism. Its crushing atmosphere of doom proved intense and relentless; the cumulative effect was dubbed "downer rock," but it proved immediately popular with a disaffected, often working-class, audience. Their fierce loyalty was fuelled by the negative response this album garnered from many rock critics who proved immune to its single-minded power. Singer Ozzy Osbourne already possessed one of the most distinctive voices in rock and proved the ideal frontman for his group's unremitting attack. Still dug out, dusted off, and played.

Condition Of Vinyl:- The disc has light surface use , just two small , light 'marks' (not heavy) The disc plays through well , great sound quality ........ some light surface presence : Graded at VERY GOOD / Near EXCELLENT condition (most sellers grade higher)

I usually start auctions at a low price to generate interest in bidding

All items are graded Audio / Visually , and played on a high grade system

Please feel able to bid with confidence , as a collector myself I understand the requirements in the gradings of discs and sleeves , and how important it is to recieve items in the condition as advertised

I grade items ( using the UK Record Collector Grading System) beneath a light , to be sure of condition

I do not believe it is necessary to use the eBay buzzwords such as STUNNING !! RARE !! AWESOME !! , padded out with grossly long winded 'descriptions' ..... Many of the 'experts' who use this method of selling also add technical information , which is totally unfounded and does not correspond with the actual facts , and would be laughable but for the fact it is totally misleading. I take time and care to graded items correctly , and only list quality records , with concise , accurate grading descriptions

I have been a lifelong music fan , my first concert visit was in 1957 (Birmingham Town Hall Skiffle Contest !) and have bought records of all the great music since 1959 , and had the privelege of seeing most of the great artists 'live' ( I saw The Beatles twice and Segovia !)

I began selling professionally in 1976 , and have a wide knowledge of the items I sell (and always learning !) having bought copies of my own at time of issue , always being interested in the sleeve , label and disc variations. If you have any queries , I will do my best to answer correctly
