Very rare USA original second LP by this classic UK hard-rock band...

This is an auction for a rare US original LP by Black Sabbath.

A true classic of it's genre, and an admirable follow-up to their stunning debut,
this album literally defined heavy metal until the late 70's. It features wicked,
overdubbed guitar, sludgy bass, reasonable drumming, and Osborne's sinister
vocals on often very fragmented mat'l, that kind of comes off as a little trippy,
at times. Though the strength of the individual tracks is ever so slightly off the
pace of their first album, to my ears, the album as a whole is equally as good.
Each cut is well placed to not only segue with it's neighbors, but to build on the
effect of the whole record.

This was released by Vertigo Records in the UK and by Warner Bros Records
in the USA in 1970. This is the 1st press with Gatefold sleeve and this is also
the "Green" label. see pictures for clarification.

Condition: This gatefold sleeve comes in superb condition, other than a touch of
buffing to the very corners and bottom edge and perfect on the inside...
Spine & Edges are Ex, no tears, bends or discolouring,again please check the
pictures on supersize for you, This sleeve is graded at VG++
The vinyl plays simply like NEW and looks a nealy MINT, under a very bright light
I can't see any marks under very close examination and again, just listen to it
entirely, it definitively plays ALMOST AS NEW with my REGA P3 Turntable.
This is graded at M- .

M = mint , new or unplayed condition…cover is nice and new looking with no ring wear.
M- = near perfect copy, played only a few times.
EX = only slight signs of wear; very clean, only light surface marks which will not distract
        significantly from the sound…sleeve also has only slight wear, and is still in nice
        collectible.
VG++ = played often with moderate surface wear and some moderate noise, still plays well…
        sleeve may have medium overall wear or some ring wear.
VG+ = overall wear, but no skips of serious defects, more noisy sound during quiet passages…
        sleeve is well worn, usually with considerable ring wear.
VG = plays a lot, heavy wear on record and cover…guarantee does not apply to vg- or worse
        condition records.
