Description

Alligator AL 8301

The first of 13 fine reggae albums issued in the early '80s by Chicago's Alligator Records. Black Slate was a short-lived U.K. band in the mold of Misty Roots whose sound straddled the line between roots and lovers rock. Highlights include the celebratory "Amigo," "Freedom Time (Black Star Liner)" and "Sticks Man."

Criminally out-of-print in all formats.

Vinyl is VG+*, with high gloss and a couple of very light marks. Cover is in excellent condition, with all seams intact and no cutout marks. Side B label has writing.
