This is a great calypso record with Blind Blake singing an awesome collection of island folk songs. I'm re-listing the record due to a bidder that neglected to pay. Please see my feedback to rest assured of a great transaction. And now, for the record details:
The vinyl is in VG to VG+ condition
Surface of the disc looks nice with some light scratches and scuffs, still a great shine. There are some light needle marks that are detectable to the touch, only one of these causes a jump in playback on the first side - no repeating skips. I've played this album the entire way through and it has that great vintage island sound. Very nice record here overall. This is both a visual as well as a play grade. The labels look great and are free from writing but there are some light needle marks, the pictures on the left show the condition accurately.
The cover is in VG to VG+ condition
This album cover's print is in great shape. There is a little wear overall but in general, the cover is nice. There is a 3-4 inch split at center of spine as well as some light edge print chipping. I've taken pictures from all angles to properly show the cover condition. There is a slight bow in the cover but the album has not been water damaged or mistreated in any way. In my opinion, this is an excellent find for any calypso or island music fan - on the original ART label.

I will have the Goldmine Standard in mind when grading but will be taking plenty of pictures to represent the records condition. Any items having multiple condition grades: First grade is vinyl, second is the sleeve.

"Goldmine Standard" grading:
SS = Still Sealed
Never opened. Any flaws (torn shrinkrwrap, creasing) will be indicated in the description.
NM- = Near Mint Minus
Has been opened, but is still flawless
with no damage whatsoever.
VG+ = Very Good Plus
- Vinyl: May have scuff marks and signs of some wear but will still play almost perfectly throughout, with only "barely detectable" crackles or pops. A slight noise at the begining is allowable, but the remainder must be nearly flawless.
- Cover: May only have the slightest signs of normal wear.
The majority of records (worth selling) fall under this grade.
- Vinyl: May crackle, pop or make other annoying noises, but only occasionally,never continuously, and not more loudly than the music being listened to.
- Cover: Normal used cover wear such as ring wear and split seams. If there is abnormal damage such as tears or markings, but the seller still feels that it qualifies as a
"VG", the damage must be described in comments attached to the item.
G+ = Good Plus
- Vinyl: May have continuous crackles, pops, etc... but not so loud as to make the music completely unenjoyable for the casual listener.
- Cover: More than normal wear and tear.
