Description

BLIND LEMON JEFFERSON: "Black Snake Moan / Matchbox Blues" 10"  rpm Record Store Day Black Friday 2018. Condition is new sealed. Shipped with USPS Media Mail.

Recorded in 1927 for the Okeh label, this is bedrock acoustic blues.  These are two of Blind Lemon's better known songs and still highly regarded throughout the world.  Released by Traffic Entertainment for Record Store Day in 2018 with a run of only 1000 or fewer copies. Notes by renowned musicologist J Richardson. Pressed on vinyl microgroove to play at 78 rpm, with reproduction Okeh labels and sleeve, (as was the original issue), this plays with surprisingly detailed fidelity.  Be advised that your turntable needs to be able to run at this speed but standard stylus is used.
