In answer to many questions, first let me say that I played this disc with a correct 3 mil
needle. Tube amp. A side has more wear then the B side. as you can see in both
images A side and B side edge chip, does not affect the first starting grooves.
I was able to start & stop the turn turntable with out any problem from the edge chips.
This in due to the fact that these Columbia records were laminated and pressed very
well. The guitar solo parts come thru very clear and clean, amazingly. There seems to
be a female voice off in the distance singing along and answering some of his calls.
This is a very cool blues jam! Great guitar technics. His voice is very ruff and loud,
the record wear prevents clear vocals on the high ends.
All in all, it still plays, and it's an amazing 78! The way in which they recorded the solo
guitar allows the listener to study his technics, the disc quiets down during these
passages. I am willing to play it over the phone.
