BLODWYN PIG - GETTING TO THIS - 1970 FIRST UK LP - EXCELLENT
This is a rare UK LP release of Blodwyn Pig's second album "Getting To This"; Blodwyn Pig was in those days: Mick Abrahams: Vocals & Guitars; Jack Lancaster: Saxes, Flute, Electric Violin & Horns; Andy Pyle: Bass Guitar; Ron Berg: Drums & Percussion; with a helping hand on Piano from Graham Waller. This LP was released in 1970 in the UK on the Chrysalis Records Ltd. label (green), catalogue number ILPS 9122, made in the UK and distributed by Island Records Ltd.. The disc's centre labels have the Island Records "i" on top (see picture); it is the first release of "Getting To This" in the UK. The record is made of thick quality vinyl and comes in a white paper inner sleeve, and goes in a gatefold sleeve with some games on the inside (also see picture).
The record is in excellent condition; there is almost no surface noise and surely no deterioration in the sound quality; there are no scratches and no jumps. The inner sleeve is like new; no damage whatsoever. The outer sleeve is also in excellent condition; very little wear (from filing), no tear, no nicks, no writing, no stains, etc. Overall, this LP can be graded as in Excellent condition.
A rare UK release from one of Britain finest blues bands in excellent condition; a nice one for your collection!
