Description

This is "CHILD IS FATHER TO THE MAN", by BLOOD SWEAT & TEARS, the 1st Press UK vinyl LP, released in 1968.
I bought this STEREO album when it was first released in February 1968. 
The LP is a first pressing on the CBS label, number 63296, and the matrix numbers in the vinyl runout are:

I use the Record Collector Vinyl Grading system, which can be viewed at: http://www.ebay.co.uk/gds/RECORD-COLLECTOR-VINYL-RECORD-GRADING-GUIDE-/10000000001916909/g.html I use "+" and "-" where the condition sits between 2 grades to provide a more accurate description. I only use MINT for sealed or unplayed records.
The vinyl is visually in superb EX+ condition, looking nearly new, no noticeable spindle marks, with just a thin surface line on side 2 track 2, which does not affect the audio.
During playtest it also played superbly, like a new record, with crystal clear sound, quiet between tracks, and is hence rated EX+ for audio.
Fortunately this LP was played just a few times initially and was then recorded to tape for future listening, which means that the vinyl has been preserved in superb condition.
The cover is laminated on the front, and has stayed shiny clean, with an excellent spine, just tiny wear on corners, and some surface lines in the laminate.  The back cover is unlaminated and has no damage, but the white backgound shows some ageing, and the cover as a whole is graded as EX
Generally, the LP is in fabulous condition, and hard to believe it is over 50 years old.
