Description
This record comes from a collection of classical records that I have been asked to sell on behalf of a friend. There are some real gems there which I will be listing shortly. I'm a modest collector myself so I have a fair idea of the value of the records that will be for sale, so I will try to give as accurate and honest a description of the condition as possible. I'm a music lover rather than a hard core record collector, so the value for me of this record is more the performance than its rarity and De Vito gives a beautifully intimate account of this wonderful sonata which is one of my favourite recordings of this work. I'm aware the record is rare so I wish I could say that this is a mint condition copy but it isn't! It's good to very good. There are some small marks on the surface of the record but no deep scratches. I've played it through once and there are no jumps or noticeable repetitive scratches, though there is some surface noise and the normal amount of pops and ticks for a record this age. It still plays and sounds very well, especially considering its age, though I would suggest that this record is cleaned professionally. The cover is in excellent condition.
