Solid, sturdy high quality Japanese cover is crisp and fresh as new. No creases, dings, soil or marks. All corners sharp. One nearly imperceptible tiny spot of wear at u.r. corner-tip. Seams and spine are 100% intact with no wear or splits.

VINYL: EX+
Gleaming original shine to superb Japanese pressing. Very few light hairlines seen in hard, bright light. LP plays NM throughout. Orig. grooved Silver on Blue MERCURY labels are immaculate.

VERY RARE Japanese ORIGINAL STEREO LP issued in 1968 on the Mercury label.

Totally different (UNIQUE) sleeve from the US issue!

Original obi strip and Lyric Insert sheet (all lyrics/titles in English w/ some Japanese text at top/bottom) are in excellent, like new condition. Lyric Sheet printed both sides.

As is common with these early Japanese issues of American and UK music, the lyric translation is not 100% correct ...unintended humor creeps in a couple of places.

For those that note MATRIX NUMBERS, here they are:
SIDE 1: PHS 600278A 1 1 1+
SIDE 2: PHS 600278B 1 1 1+
I don't know enough about Japanese Mercury/Phillips pressings to tell whether or not this
denotes a FIRST PRESSING, but it looks like it could well be the case.

Rarely played back-up from deep in my collection
...trimming down to one copy only of each LP to make room as I still keep collecting so much!

An outstanding release from Blue Cheer, OUTSIDEINSIDE, their 2nd LP (still featuring the original 3 members, LEIGH STEVENS, DICKIE PETERSON and PAUL WHALEY) is a power-fuzz psych masterpiece. This ws the last ime they would record together.

As classic and powerful as VINCEBUS ERUPTUM is, this 2nd LP, OUTSIDE INSIDE is probably the best and most refined Psych they ever put out. All the power is there, but this time they are more sure-handed and confident with it -using it as a sharp sword, rather than a bludgeon. It is the album I almost always pull out when I want to hear Blue Cheer. Their rendition of "The Hunter" is perhaps their best moment. "Feathers From Our Tree", "Gypsy Ball" and "Babylon" are also some of the best work they ever did.

Leigh Stevens' Fuzzed-out guitar solos are far more advanced, original and on-the-attack here than his strong, but constrained style on Eruptum. Too bad this was the last we would hear from him with Blue Cheer.

An exceptional and too-often overlooked testament to the psychedelic power-blues that these 3 San Francisco boys could unleash.

LP is kept in a thin, snug, clear poly sleeve;
inside a fold-flap Japanese mylar outer sleeve.
Vinyl inside anti-static rice paper sleeve.
