Description

A 33 1/3 RPM stereo vinyl LP, 'Vincebus Eruptum' by Bay Area hard rock band, Blue Cheer

The album was originally released in 1968 on the Philips label in the USA

This is a US re-issue, also on Philips, from 2007 

This was tBlue Cheer's debut album. Recorded at Amigo Studios, Hollywood, CA in 1967 and released in January, 1968

Songs were a mixture of original compositions by Dickie Peterson, and blues and rock and roll covers (see track listing below for details)

Musicians:- Dickie Petersen, vocals and bass; Leigh Stephens, guitar; Paul Whaley, drums 

Produced by Abe 'Voco' Kesh, engineered by John MacQuarrie

The sleeve is a reproduction of the 1968 original. The front has a blue tinted phot of the band on a suitably 60s psychedelic bsackground. The back has further images of the band surrounding a poem by 'Owsley' (Owsley Stanley, 'Dead' soundman and well-known 'chemist'). Photography by John van Hamersveld The track listing can be found across the bottom of the rear sleeve, together with production credits etc.

Condition

The vinyl  looks VG+ to NM. 

No noticeable marks or scratches, no pops or surface noise on playback . 

The sleeve is NM. It has been protected by clear plastic protective sleeve and most of the original shrink wrap. 

The inner sleeve has some faint marks, but is otherwise in excellent condition
