Description

***NEW ORDER Blue Monday UK FACTORY RECORDS 1st Pressing please read the info***

Run out etchings read:

FAC 73-A1. Strawberry Out-Voted MT 1

FAC 73-B1. HO.EL+TEL! MT 4

There is a hand etching of someone's name and signature R.H Something. No idea who this is.

OK we have lots of variations out there..... Lots of people with lots of different ideas of what they are and what they mean.

The description above is what's in my run outs. My info on a first pressing below is mainly from Factoryrecords.org and Discogs.

Firstly there are different MT numbers on pressings. The FAC-73-A1 Strawberry Out-Voted etc and the run out measuring 0.4" are concurrent with an original pressing details from Factoryrecords.org.

I have another Die Cut copy with MT 1 and MT 6 etched inside with a silver inner and I can't pinpoint exactly what MT (insert a number) means.

Secondly it has a Silver inner on heavy cardboard with the die-cut outer. Again a first pressing in accordance with Factoryrecords.org. Re-pressings have a black inner and further one's not die-cut.

Finally both sides play with a little crackle to start with but don't skip or hear any defects on my balanced pro-ject Carbon DC record player when playing. Crackles are an old record needing a clean. I'm not a professional so have not cleaned it.

Importantly the first few bars of the drum machine are missing on Blue Monday. If you know about (Out-Voted) this is why.

The sleeve is as seen in the pictures. Outer has a small tear sellotaped inside as shown. Been in and out of storage a bit and all wear is in the pictures

The original silver inner has an approx 30mm split as pictured.

The vinyl plays without skipping and you can't hear any defects on a good record player.

Last bit..... Original copies of Unknown Pleasures should not be identified by being 'Ruby Red' under a strong light.

Happy Bidding
