Description
Deep Groove … heavy platter. 767 Lexington Avenue, NYC on Side 1 … 47 West 63rd, NYC on Side 2 … no ® … ear and RVG etch in the dead wax. VG++ or better. Very clean.
Labels are very clean and white … no spindle wear to speak of … Side A and Side B have a few light marks or paper scuffs (not many) … nothing deep. This LP has not seen that much action or it was originally owned by someone who treated it like the treasure that it is … more on that later. Vinyl looks great. The guy I purchased this from (I’m the 3rd owner) called the vinyl Near Mint … I won’t go quite that far. But, really nice and clean. A very well-preserved piece of Blue Note history. The third release in the 1500 12” Series (right behind Miles Davis 1 & 2). Very cool Francis Wolff photo on the cover.
Jacket looks great … VG + … no splits, looks great for around 50 + years old. Typical light shelf wear . The seams are taped with clear tape. Very nicely done. Not that there were any splits … It looks like it was done to prevent them. Back to what I said about the first owner being very careful with the care of this record. Small date was written in the corner on back cover. See pictures below. Incredible line-up. Low reserve.
