Description
Meade “Lux” Lewis ~ The Blues Parts 1-4
(2 disks) Original 1939 Blue Note. First disk: 8A & 8B (486A-1 & 486A-2). Second disk: 9A & 9B (488A-3 & 489A-4), mono 12” 78 rpm shellac singles
E overall. Fully tested with good overall sound quality, some noise (could use a deeper cleaning), a few marks, still lustrous overall, tiny edge bite to side 2 of second disc, no skips of repeats.
Historical Meade “Lux” Lewis improvised solo blues piano recordings; two of the earliest records ever made under the legendary Blue Note label, Lexington Ave., NYC (disks 8 & 9). Quite scarce, particularly in this great condition. As with all my items, these records will arrive professionally packed from a non-smoking environment.
