Description

I am the original "traditional jazz aficionado" owner of this 3-record album set by ART HODES' HOT SEVEN.  It is titled "A MONDAY DATE at BLUE NOTE" and is BLUE NOTE ALBUM 104.   I have not listened to these 10-inch 78 RPM records lately but I do not recall any scratches and they do not appear to have any.  I have always kept the records in their jackets.  If a prospective buyer would like me to listen to all sides for clarity, I will be happy to do that upon request.    None of the jackets have any tears or stains.  I included pictures of the front and back of the album and made no attempt to clean either.  The inside of the back of the album has one very small darker mark (see picture) and the right edges of the front and back album have a break in the rims (see picture).   The three records in the album are:         No. 550:  WOLVERINE BLUES                                 (BN 241)                         BUJIE                                                      (BN 245)         No. 551:  I NEVER KNEW WHAT A GAL COULD DO  (BN 238-3X)                        MR. JELLY LORD                                       (BN 239-1X)         No. 552:  WILLIE THE WEEPER                               (BN 244-2)                        CHICAGO GAL                                          (BN 233-1X)   (Recorded on May 17, 1945 at WOR Studios in New York City)   Musicians include:         Max Kaminsky on Trumpet         George Lugg on Trombone         Bujie Centobie on Clarinet         Art Hodes on Piano         Chick Robertson on Guitar         Jack Lessberg on Bass         Danny Alvin on Drums   The original fold-out that explains the album is included (see picture).   I currently have listed another ART HODES 3-record 78 RPM album titled "HOT JAZZ at BLUE NOTE" (Item# 320290163521  8/29).  Also, SIDNEY BECHET 3-record album set Giant of Jazz SIDNEY BECHET & his BLUE NOTE JAZZMEN ALBUM No. 105    (Item 320290376492  8/30)   I will be listing more albums similar to these in the near future.   Seller accepts the usual forms of payment including PayPal.  Insurance is at buyer's discretion.  Shipping will be $4 via Media Mail in the U.S. unless faster service is requested.   The album + records will weigh approximately 3 to 4 lbs. and will be shipped from area code 18901.
