You are bidding on a rare BLUE NOTE classic LP,#4056,FREDDIE HUBBARD"GOIN UP!",with stars HANK MOBLEY,McCOY TYNER,PAUL CHAMBERS and PHILLY JOE JONES......the heavy,thick vinyl is in E-/VG+ condition,with light sleeve marks and a couple very light surface marks only,nothing feelable...the laminated cover is in VG+ condition,with solid spine and seams,..the back of the jacket is VG,with light shelf wear and slight age related soiling and what appears to be a unique factory flaw: some of the laminate seems to have run onto the back of the cover creating a small spot of laminate on the back cover!..ive never seen this before...its unique,and certainly doesn't hinder the readability of the liner notes and doesnt,in my opinion,detract from the quality of the LP.....there is a tiny surface "abrasion" or tear at the very top center,where a previous owners name was,perhaps a sticker was removed...again,very minor cosmetic flaw...the labels are clean,with the double sided DEEP GROOVE,with the "r" underneath the e in "note"...address is 47 WEST 63rd-NYC....,the ear in the run out groove... you rarely see this title in double sided deep groove,as this has to be one of the last of these issues to come out before the end of the deep groove pressings,and the subsequent sale of BLUE NOTE to UA/LIBERTY in the early 1960s.......overall,a very nice,presentable,and listenable copy of a true BLUE NOTE rarity...i am a jazz pianist,composer,and recording artist,and am begining to slowly sell some of my treasured collection...these LPs have been lovingly cared for,rarely played...no disappointments,however: most of my LPs are E-/VG+...they are in excellent condition,but they are not PERFECT.....if you are only interested in stone mint LPs,please DONT BID...thanks for your bids,and good luck! please feel free to email me with any questions.
