' (1956) whims of chambers ' PAUL CHAMBERS SEXTET (BLUE NOTE 1534); MONO; DEEP GROOVE both sides; EAR engraved in dead wax. Super clean original Blue Note pressing; Substantial vinyl pressing; tight seams except mid-section starting on very bottom
VINYL: VG+ (super clean and glossy)** Playgraded on Thorens with Shure newer V15 cart; Klip tower speakers; NOTES: clean and bold stage presense as expected from '50s Blue Note platter; good separation and fidelity throughout; plays with some very slt. tics here and there-nothing that remotely detracts of the listening pleasure 'WOW!A just a great session here; plays at full volume and with little distortion--a real pleasure listening to this class Blue Note jazz session--bold 1956 Blue Note signature sound here..!!
COVER: VG+ (tight and very clean with NO defacing owner's names or marks anywhere; tight spine shows typical rubbed edges for top and bottom; bottom seam with starting mid-section split--minor; excellent full iner notes; clean white reverse; van gelder engineered.
NOTES: a smokin' personel section: BYRD, trumpet; COLTRANE, tenor sax; BURRELL, guitar; SILVER, piano; PAUL CHAMBERS, bass, PHILLY JOE JONES, drums.. (need I say more..?)
