Description
This is a very good original mono U.S. pressing copy of the RARE sole LP by Kansas beat/rock group the Blue Things, released in 1966. The record mixes covers of songs by Bob Dylan, Dale "Suzy Q" Hawkins, bluesman Jimmy Reed, and others with originals written or co-written by lead singer Val Stecklein. Among the latter are the standout leadoff track, "High Life," and "I Must Be Doing Something Wrong," which had been released the previous year as the group's first single for RCA. The jacket looks good overall, but does have several flaws: a 2½” split in the top seam, corner and seam wear, some rippling in the front cover slick in one corner, some staining and rippling along the bottom seam on the back cover slick, light ring wear and tearing (more noticeable on the mostly white back cover), and light staining from a sticker on the front cover -- see photos for details. Overall VG+. The disc has some fingerprints, scuffing, and loss of glossiness, and plays with light to moderate surface noise audible between tracks and in quieter passages (VG+).
I am in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
If you'd like to order multiple items, I'll happily combine them so that you won't have to pay multiple shipping charges.
