We have a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 2/3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers.
We mail all paid orders out once a week on Fridays/Saturdays. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule to Monday. We strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. Please be aware we have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.

RARE ((limited edition) ORIGINAL, from 1976 when "Black & Blue" was released ...the initial pressing in the Netherlands-only was on TRANSPARENT BLUE vinyl ...in striking colorful gatefold cover... complete with lyric insert & original inner, gatefold picture sleeve, the vinyl remains in superb TOP minty condition and otherwise an immaculate collection rarity and the gatefold sleeve is flawless - Great ((MINT)) copy over 35 years on!
Funky, dirty, sleazy and grooving all the way...
It came as quite a surprise to everyone that the Stones delivered a cohesive album at this time. the mid 70's of excess were peaking, the drugs were taking their toll, and more important to the Stones Mick Taylor had handed in his resignation. Ron Wood got the job, he figures in backing vocals, a cool profile shot on the cover and a lethal riff that sparks "Hey Negrita". "Negrita" later on returned as "Slave" on "Tattoo You" with similar production. Ronnie supposedly never liked the lyrix to "Negrita". But Jagger does a great job. He scats and nonsensicals his way through a Latin Funk groove like it's nobody's business. And the backing vocals sound downright rousing. A tight funky number opens the LP. "Hot Stuff" and this number holds up well. The monotone chant of "Hot Stuff" is hypnotizing, Keith's tiny little rhythm guitar is recorded extra crisp. Jagger raps and barks at the end in that accent that only he knows -- he gives a shout out to the whole world here. Harvey Mandel, one of the guitarrists seriously being considered, flies in with a dangerous distorted, wah wah solo. "Hand Of Fate" one of the highlights of the album is an archtypical Stones rocker. Much like "Rocks Off" there is a strong beat, a strong melody, great lyrix that tell the tale. Charlie's drumming is tops. And Wayne Perkins, the other strong guitar contender delivers one of the finest guitar solos ever to grace a Stones album. This is Keith's sus4 chording at it's best. "Cherry Oh Baby" marks the first time the Stones released a pure Reggae tune. Many fans dis this song. The hook line on the Organ by Nicky Hopkins gets a little obnoxious at times. Jagger does a tongue in cheek "Island riddim-rhymin". "Memory Motel" to this day ranks as one of the greatest Stones ballads. A 7 minute opus, it has Jagger on Grand Piano, Keith on Electric Piano, Mandel and Perkins on guitars. Everyone on beautifull "sha la la" backing vocals. Jagger and keith trade lead lines in this weary ballad of life on the road. Only Jagger and the Stones can pull this kind of road song off and let it ring credible.The lyrix are some of Jagger's best and Keith's little solo spot is perfect in it's jaded delivery. Absolute masterpiece. "Melody" is a jazzy number with Jagger and Preston bouncing off of each other in the harmonies. Funny lyrix by Jagger. "...my car she took my trailer home she took my Sunday boots...". Keith checks in with some surprisingly slinky guitar lines. Wyman mops the floor with his walking Bassline, Charlie is in his element brushing his snare. "Fool To Cry" is the other big ballad off the album. It also was the first single off "Black And Blue". There was considerable surprise that once again they released a syrupy ballad as the single. "Angie" had done very well a few years before, but was it really time to do it again? And where "Angie" had seemed mellow, "Fool" was just over the top. "The falsettos, the lyrix with Jagger singing open and plaintively about being a daddy with his daughter on his knee. Where was the tough guy rock'n roll image? "Fool" like "Angie" ended up doing really well -- especially in Europe where they love this kitsch. Keith does some great wah-wah work here. Legend has it that on the '76 Tour in Berlin Keith fell asleep standing on stage while playing this number. Screeching feedback awoke him as he realized he'd been standing on his Wah wah pedal. "Crazy mam" closes this album of only eight tunes out. Eight excellent tunes. "Crazy Mama" is another hardcore Stones rocker for the redblooded fanatic. No other band alive knows the secret to this recipe that the Stones seem to effortlessly dish out whenever there is a need. Keith rambles with a razor riff. Jagger plays guitar. Pianos jangle, the lads yell along, the drums are bashing away and Jagger is leading the pack in typical Stones fashion "well ya craaazy mother..." Perfect ending for a Stones album. This Stones album has truly stood the test of time and has aged very very well. Looking back we see what a jewel was handed to us.

The vinyl is pressing in deep transparent BLUE color and is clean "EX" (excellent) having only a few 'nothing' inner sleeve scuffs, playing clear crisp and flawless...the labels are both clean. We do not see spares of this release and especially so clean...
