VERY RARE!
Please note that Clifford Curzon's piano technique was so formidable, unlike other virtuosos, his playing seemed to take on the personality of the composer. (To find "him," amongst his recordings, listeners liked to point out, was near impossible, so ego-less was the playing.)
And yet, if he was unhappy with a performance, regardless of the powers that be, he wouldn't let it out in release. Ever.
This is his wonderful outing with the incomparable Knappertsbusch, and it shines, one of the finest Emperors on vinyl. (That said, note that Knappertsbusch vinyl is at a premium and disappearing fast.)
This is the original ffss Blueback release: Jacket is fine and crisp, without major fault, save for a slight cover scratch near the statue’s ear (see photo…hardly serious).
Record inside is a pancake platter in great shape; should play near mint.

Shipping and handling is $5 for up to 5 LPs shipped within the States. Internationally, $15 via airmail for the first LP, $3 each thereafter. (Canada is half that.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $6, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
