Description

CONDITION V+ ; 1937 BLUEGRASS record with CLAYTON McMICHEN'S GEORGIA WILDCATS on the great "SWEET BUNCH OF DAISIES" with an original version recorded for DECCA including KEN NEWTON fiddle and vocals, JERRY WALLACE banjo, SLIM BRYANT vocals and guitar, LOPPY BRYANT bass and vocals -- on the second side we have "FRANKIE AND JOHNNIE" on 78 rpm 10" DECCA 5418, nice clean copy -- please see photos.

It was 1925 when Clayton McMichen and his Home Town Band recorded "SWEET BUNCH OF DAISIES" for Okeh, in what was to become a bluegrass standard, Later he and his Melody Men re-recorded the same song for Columbia in 1926, and on to this final version it is again McMichen and a very accomplished crew, THE GEORGIA WILDCATS who recorded this original third version for DECCA in 1937

This record will be securely packed in a new 12x12x4 box with cardboard stiffeners and floating in a paper fill.
