Description

I am offering this extremely rare BLUES ROOTS / MISSISSIPPI Yellow album from RBF Records (a division of Folkways Records). RBF 14. 1966. Yellow vinyl in beautiful near mint condition, looks to be never played. Jacket has a bend in upper right hand cover - hardly noticable. Artist and song information and lyrics is included.
Quoting Smithsonian Folkways, "From the early blues of Son House, Willie Brown, and Charley Patton to the assertive music of the Depression, the Mississippi delta has produced songs and singers with a fierce honesty that has ensured the style's enduring popularity." This album spans from 1931 to 1950. Compiled and edited by Samuel Charters.
