Description

You are bidding on a rare, original, vintage, blues R&B EP 45 rpm record with accompanying jacket, "Bo Diddley", from 1958 on the Chess Record label, #EP 5125. The carboard jacket is in good plus condition due to light soiling, with some moderate, on the front cover side. The back cover side has moderate soiling throughout. There is light corner and edge wear. There is a 1 and 1/2 inch edge split at the bottom right corner and just the start of one at the upper right hand corner (see photos). However, the photo of Bo Diddley playing the guitar on the front cover is very nice. The classic black Chess labels with silver print-one side is very good plus to excellent, the other very good with a couple small gouges by the spindle hole. The vinyl is in good plus to very good minus condition with light wear. The songs are, "Bo Diddley", and, "I'm A Man", on Side 1, and, "Willie and Lillie", and, "Bo Meets The Monster", on Side 2. Side 1 has a light scratch through the first song band and into part of the second song band, observable under light, which does not affect play. There is also a very small, light scuff. There are no major scratches or other distractions. This is the only EP that Bo Diddley put out. This is a 3 day, no reserve auction. Please see the detailed photos.
