Description
This is a very rare acetate recording of the 1966 hit by Bob Dylan “Just Like A Woman”. I don’t know if this version or mix is any different from the commercially released version but this one has the running time written on the sleeve at 2:56.
It is a one sided 10 inch acetate disc with a metal center that plays at 45rpm and has excellent sound quality. There is handwritten disc info in the label area with the number “NCO 83264”. It comes in a paper sleeve which also has handwritten info on it.
The disc is in mint condition except for 2 tiny edge chips which in no way effect the playing surface. As you can see in the photo below the actual playing area is near the center of the record and not on the outer edge. It was probably unplayed although I did play it once to record and and verify.
I purchased this with a large group of Columbia, Harmony and Epic promotional LP’s all from the mid 1960’s so I can guarantee it as period done.
Acetate recordings are probably the rarest records since only 1- 10 copies are normally made and they can contain alternate takes or mixes and even unreleased songs. As far as I know this is the only copy. A great 1960’s Dylan collectible.
