Description
Up for bid is a very rare 2 LP mono promo set, the classic "Blonde on Blonde," by Bob Dylan. This is a rare variant of the mono release, with no picture of Claudia Cardinale on the inside of the gatefold jacket (see pictures). This was released by Columbia Records (C2L 41) in 1966. LP 1 is VG+, with scuffs on either side. There are also several small light scratches on either side. LP retains a nice gloss. Interior labels are very clean. LP plays with some surface noise (crackle, tics, and pops), with no skips. Stamped matrix number for LP 1 reads XLP113761-2A / XLP113762-3K. Gatefold jacket is VG to VG+, with the beginning of a seam split about an inch long in the center of the spine. This area does not penetrate through the entire spine, but just affects the surface layer. There is wear on all seams and corners. There is ring wear and scuffing on the front and back of the jacket. There is a name written on the inside top left corner of the gatefold in faded black marker (see pictures). I have not come across much info on a mono copy of this LP without the picture of Claudia Cardinale on the inside of the gatefold jacket.
