HERE WE HAVE A BEAUTIFUL, UK CBS (SDDP 66012) LATE 60s PRESSING OF DYLAN'S GROUNDBREAKING SEVENTH LP AND HIS FIRST DOUBLE, "Blonde On Blonde" ONE OF THE GREATEST PIECES OF WORK EVER SET DOWN ON VINYL!!! WITH DYLAN'S OBLIQUE IMAGERY AND TREMENDOUS MUSICIANSHIP FROM THE BAND!!
THE LP HAS THE GROOVED, ORANGE CBS LABELS WITH THE MATRIX: A3 / B1 / C4 / D2 AND IS HOUSED IN AN OUTER LAMINATED GATEFOLD SLEEVE WITH 9 INTERNAL PHOTOS. THE COVER IS ACTUALLY AN ORIGINAL *MONO* SHELL AND HAS NO *STEREO* INDICATIONS ON IT WHATSOEVER!!
THIS REALLY IS A BEAUTIFUL, BARELY PLAYED COPY AND I THINK YOU WOULD BE HARD PRESSED TO FIND ONE MUCH BETTER!!
THIS IS ONE OF A VIRTUALLY COMPLETE DYLAN COLLECTION I RECENTLY ACQUIRED!! ALL OF THE LPs IN THIS COLLECTION ARE FIRST OR VERY EARLY UK STEREO PRESSES (apart from Highway 61 and JWH which are mono) AND I WILL BE LISTING SOME OF THEM OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS. AS THIS COPY IS A LATER PRESSING I PRESUME IT TO BE A REPLACEMENT FOR THE OWNERS WELL WORN FIRST PRESS COPY!!!!

If Highway 61 Revisited played as a garage rock record, the double album Blonde on Blonde inverted that sound, blending blues, country, rock, and folk into a wild, careening, and dense sound. Replacing the fiery Michael Bloomfield with the intense, weaving guitar of Robbie Robertson, Bob Dylan led a group comprised of his touring band the Hawks and session musicians through his richest set of songs.
Blonde on Blonde is an album of enormous depth, providing endless lyrical and musical revelations on each play.
Leavening the edginess of Highway 61 with a sense of the absurd, Blonde on Blonde is comprised entirely of songs driven by inventive, surreal, and witty wordplay, not only on the rockers but also on winding, moving ballads like "Visions of Johanna," "Just Like a Woman," and "Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands."
Throughout the record, the music matches the inventiveness of the songs, filled with cutting guitar riffs, liquid organ riffs, crisp pianos, and even woozy brass bands ("Rainy Day Women #12 & 35"). It's the culmination of Dylan's electric rock & roll period -- he would never release a studio record that rocked this hard, or had such bizarre imagery, ever again.

LABELS: The labels are in SUPERB condition - CLEAN, BRIGHT and UNMARKED with only one light spindle trace!!! THIS COPY HAS HARDLY EVER BEEN PLAYED!!!
VINYL Visual: All surfaces have a BEAUTIFUL, LIKE-NEW SHEEN with hardly a mark to be seen!!! (light sleeve hairlines only visible in sunlight!!)
VINYL Audio: The audio delivery is simply OUTSTANDING!! - CRYSTAL CLEAR and VIBRANT!! There are NO scratches, NO sticks/jumps, NO clicks/pops, NO surface noise and NO discernible groove-wear or distortion!!!! BEAUTIFUL COPY!! This must be graded EXCELLENT+ for audio!!!! PLAYS BEAUTIFULLY THROUGHOUT!! This record is NOT over-graded in ANY way as I use STRICT RECORD COLLECTOR grading standards!!! (please check my feedback and "about me" page)
SLEEVE: The original OUTER laminated *MONO* shell sleeve has a BEAUTIFUL DEEP GLOSS to the outer laminated surface (very, very light rubbing only!!!) and the unlaminated inside is pretty clean (the lightest touch of staining to the bottom edge - very minor!!) (see pics - hardy noticeable!!). The edges of the cover are practically UNWORN!! and all text on the spine is CLEAR and SHARP!!! A REALLY BEAUTIFUL SLEEVE!!!
