Description
UK PRESSING HEAVY VINYL MATT ORANGE CBS LABELS VINYL LP IN LAMINATED SLEEVE WITH ORIGINAL INNERS. According to the very authorative 'searchingforagemDOTcom' Dylan website, this pressing dates from approx. 1967/8, based on label variation, sleeve details, song mispelling Side 2 'Stuck Inside of Mobile With Thee' and B. Feldman publishing credit. We have played this copy against the UK first pressing, and it compares very favourably, there is not much noticeable difference at this stage in audio quality, but by the early 1970s the pressings detoriate considerably in our humble opinon, making thos A3 pressing a very splendid playing copy. If you want a fine playing, clean original UK early pressing but perhaps cannot afford the expense of an A1 stamper copy, then this will be an upgrade for most Dylan fans.
MATRIX NUMBERS IN RUN-OFF GROOVES: [S66021 A3] crossed out S66012 A3 / SBPG 66012 B2 / SBPG 66012 C3 / S-660212-D2
MOTHER No. D / D / A / A
STAMPER No. B / 24 / 35 / 4
SLEEVE: VERY GOOD+ TO EXCELLENT MINUS, JUST LIGHT SHELF AND EDGE WEAR, MINOR AGEING, OTHERWISE A VERY CLEAN SLEEVE. INNERS ARE VERY GOOD BUT DISCS NOW HOUSED IN NEW SLEEVES AS WELL.
DISCS: MOSTLY EXCELLENT WITH A FEW AREAS OF EXCELLENT MINUS DUE TO A COUPLE OF HAIRLINES, BUT OTHERWISE VERY CLEAN VINYL WITH NO SCRATCHES, MINOR SPINDLE WEAR AND CLEARLY A LESSER PLAYED COPY THAT SOUNDS WONDERFUL, VERY ALIVE AND PUNCHY - A VERY DECENT COPY THAT WOULD BE AN UPGRADE FOR MOST DYLAN VINYL FANS.
