BOB DYLAN, Blonde on Blonde, mis pressed darker sleeve, original CBS mono 1966 UK LP.

66012, original first issue 1966 UK CBS orange mono record labels.

A first issue 1966 UK mono copy in original condition, featuring:

1. the main sleeve has been ‘mis pressed’ as the black and white photos seen when the ‘gate fold’ sleeve is opened appear ‘very dark’, see photos,

2. the track title, Stuck inside of mobile with the Memphis blues again’ was mis printed twice !. On the sleeve and on the record label, this track can appear as:

a. ‘Stuck inside of mobile with thee’, where the word ‘the’ was mis pressed as, ‘thee’,

b. or alternatively this track can appear as just, ‘Memphis blues again’,

This copy has this track mis pressed as, ‘Stuck inside of mobile with thee’, printed on the sleeve and on the record label,

3. original UK earliest mono record matrix of, ‘DDP 66012 A1’, DDP 66012 B1’, ‘DDP 66012 C1’, DDP 66012 D1,

4. original 1966 UK CBS mono, Orange record labels,

5. original ‘textured’ and ‘ridged’ record labels, the ‘ridges’ are 5mm from the outer edge of each of the record labels,

6. each of the record labels feature the earliest text of, ‘33’, later record labels read, ‘33 1/3’,

7. a first issue 1966 UK ‘gate fold’ sleeve featuring the earliest first issue ‘visible flip backs, see on the inner panels, to the top and bottom edges,

8. a first issue 1966 UK ‘gate fold’ sleeve made of the period, quality ‘thick / heavy’ card,

9. comes with its two original period, ‘CBS advertising inner sleeves.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good+ condition, the front and rear of the sleeve is laminated. The spine is in good++ condition, the spine has some rubbing wear, 10mm to the centre of the spine, most of the text on the spine is readable. The sleeve features the earliest UK first issue ‘flip back’, ie ‘fold over’ edges, seen when the ‘gate fold’ sleeve is opened. There are NO tears, stickers or sticker residue to the sleeve. There is a name and an old ‘price’, written in black pen on the inside of the ‘gate fold’ sleeve. There is a 5mm ‘nick’ to the rear, upper opening edge and some ‘creasing’ to the rear, lower right corner.

THE INNER SLEEVES: comes with its two original period ‘CBS’ Orange advertising inner sleeves.

One inner sleeve is in good++ condition, there is a complete split to one of the side edges and the other side edge has a slight split and there is a split to the bottom edge. There is some creasing to the front, left lower corner and to the rear, right lower corner. Theres NO pen writing, tears, stickers or sticker residue to this inner sleeve.

The other inner sleeve is in very good+ condition, one of the side edges and the bottom edge has a neat sellotape repair, the other side edge has a split. There is a 15mm tear to the rear, centre opening edge. Theres NO pen writing, stickers or sticker residue to this inner sleeve.

THE RECORDS: record one, side one, is in very good++ condition, side two is in near excellent condition. Record two, side three and four are in very good++ condition. The records are made from the period, 1960s thick, heavy vinyl. The records have remained dark and glossy.

The records matrix is:

record one, side one, DDP 66012 A1, also the numbers / letters of, ‘DO’, I think it is, are engraved onto the ‘run off’ groove. Side two, DDP 66012 B1, also the numbers / letters of ‘C 135’, I think it is, are engraved onto the ‘run off’ groove,

record two, side three, DDP 66012 C1, also the numbers / letters of, ‘EC’, I think it is, are engraved onto the ‘run off’ groove. Side four, DDP 66012 D1, also the numbers / letters of ‘CEC’, I think it is, are engraved onto the ‘run off’ groove.

THE AUDIO: each side plays very good++, each side plays with some light ‘crackle’. Each record plays with a full powerful, period mono sound. The records lay flat on the turntable.

THE RECORD LABELS: each of the record labels are in excellent condition. Each of the record labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.
