Description
This is a debut copy of "BOB DYLAN" Produced by John Hammond, Columbia Records Stereo (CS 8579) 1962. This is a first pressing and has the 6 eyes. The cover has some age wear but looks great, as does the back. From the front you wouldn't know the seems are so stressed. The spine has some tearing and a 5" split, as you can see from picture 3. The bottom seem has an 8" split (Picture 4)and the top seem has a 4" split. Also the corners are worn and have some tearing. The Album itself plays very nice, it's not worn or played out. There are no mis-tracking and no skips. There are some clips and i can hear some minor surface noise, mostly in the right channel. I think it just needs a thorough cleaning and that it's not from groove damage.I played it in the store and it sounded great. I would give it a 7 out of 10.
To my knowledge there were only 500 copies in stereo on this first pressing (WHICH IS DENOTED BY THE RED AND BLACK SIX EYE LABEL), 3,000 in mono. AFTER THIS PRESSING THIS LABEL WAS NO LONGER IN US
