BOB DYLAN, Greatest Hits, unusual hybrid sleeve, original CBS stereo 1966 UK LP.

BPG 62847, original first issue 1966 UK CBS orange record labels.

A first issue 1966 UK stereo copy in original condition, featuring:

1. an unusual mono/stereo 'hybrid' sleeve, as this is a regular mono sleeve but has a red 'stereo logo' stamped onto the top 'flip back' on the rear of the sleeve,

2. an early UK 'flip back', ie 'fold over' edges sleeve, made of the period, 1960s quality ‘thick / heavy’ card,

3. the track, 'Rainy Day Woman nos. 12 and 35', on the record features the 4.35 mins mix, but on the sleeve this track is referred to as the shorter, 2.06 min mix !,

4. the tracks, It aint me Babe' and 'The Times are a Changin' play in mono and not in stereo !,

5. early 1966 UK CBS stereo orange ‘textured’ and ‘ridged’ record labels,

6. each of the record labels feature the early 'large', ‘33 1/3’, text,

7. comes with its original period, UK ‘CBS' advertising inner sleeve.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in excellent condition, the front of the sleeve is laminated. The quality front laminate has remained glossy and unspoilt. The spine is in excellent++ and has remained clean, white and straight and all of the text on the spine is clear to read. The rear of the sleeve features the original UK, tri ‘flip back’ design, ie ‘fold over’ edges. There are NO tears, pen writing, splits, stickers, sticker residue to the sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in excellent condition and is the original period UK ‘CBS’ orange advertising inner sleeve. Theres NO pen writing, tears, stickers or sticker residue to the inner sleeve. There is a split to the bottom edge.

THE RECORD: side one is in excellent+ condition and side two is in excellent++ condition. The record is made from the period, quality 1960s 'thick, heavy' vinyl. The record has remained very dark and glossy.

The records matrix are: side one - SBPG 62847 - A2, also the numbers / letters of, ‘9 AU’, I think it is, are engraved onto the ‘run off’ groove. Side two - SBPG 62847 - B1, also the numbers / letters of, ‘9 AC’, I think it is, are engraved onto the ‘run off’ groove.

THE AUDIO: each side of the record plays excellent, each side plays with some light 'crackle' heard here and there. The record plays with a full powerful, period stereo sound. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE RECORD LABELS: each of the record labels are in excellent++ condition. Each of the record labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

TO GRADE THE CONDITION OF THE RECORD I AM USING THE OFFICIAL GRADING SYSTEM FROM THE ‘RECORD COLLECTOR’ MAGAZINE.

BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVE, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
