BOB DYLAN - HIGHWAY 61 REVISITED – WHITE LABEL PROMO WITH TIMING STRIP - Columbia CL-2389 (Mono). Disc is essentially Near Mint Plus – there is print thru on the vinyl from a previously housed vinyl inner sleeve and a paper scuff or two, otherwise this disc would be Mint Minus; Labels are Mint Minus; Sleeve is Near Mint Plus (Super Minor Surface wear and that’s it; this is a gorgeous item); Matrices read XLP-110638-1B and 110639-1B.
This U.S. WHITE LABEL PROMO with TIMING STRIP is an exceptional example of a first pressing of the Mono Highway 61 Revisited issue. White Label Promos were among the first pressings from the Mother Master and, as such, feature the highest quality detail and imaging available of the original Monophonic mixes. The Mono mixes of Bob Dylan’s 3 albums from his original electric triptych are entirely different from their Stereo counterparts. Titles: Like A Rolling Stone; Tombstone Blues; It Takes A Lot To Laugh; From A Buick 6; Ballad of a Thin Man; Queen Jane Approximately; Highway 61 Revisited; Just Like Tom Thumb’s Blues; and Desolation Row.
All vinyl records from VinylKing46 (eBay’s ORIGINAL VINYLKING) are pre-cleaned and inserted into paper inner sleeves before mailing to Buyer. ALL DISCS ARE PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED ON A VPI RECORD CLEANING MACHINE. Discs are packaged separately from LP sleeve to protect against seam splitting. LP jackets are inserted into mylar outer sleeves and albums are shipped in LP-specific boxes and packed with bubble wrap.
