BOB DYLAN  -  'Highway 61 Revisited'    LP    UK    1980s    CBS  62572

1980s stereo issue of this seminal Dylan album – beyond essential. 

CONDITION:       STRICT  U.K. MAGAZINE  'RECORD COLLECTOR'  GRADING SYSTEM USED.  I aim to provide an accurate and honest appraisal of condition.  It’s in my best interests to do so.  I WANT YOU TO COME BACK.    Records are checked in good natural light and play tested IN FULL at a high volume on a Pro-Ject Xtension 10 turntable fitted with an Ortofon 2M Red stylus (tracking at 2g).    Used records are cleaned using a Moth vacuum record cleaning machine prior to play testing, unless condition deems unnecessary. 

SUPERB PLAYING CONDITION   Record has clearly had very, very little previous play.  Playing condition for 99% of the album is NrMINT/MINT, vast majority plays with no discernible difference compared to new.   Only issue is 4 or 5 light consecutive pops within the first minute of ‘Like A Rolling Stone’.    Overall, NO crackle  NO distortion/groove wear  NO jumps  NO sticking. 

Visually, in good daylight, the vinyl looks NrMINT.   Very faint, very hard to see surface-only marks.  Some light scuffing around the extreme edge (run-in/dead wax area).   Vinyl looks lovely and clean and still retains its original sheen.  Still looks very close to new.

Labels are NrMINT/MINT.    1 or 2 very faint spindle marks.  All label text perfectly readable.   NO writing  NO stickers. 

Sleeve is in VG+/EX- condition.   Price sticker on the front.    Couple of creases.   Some light ring wear/ rubbing in places.   Noticeable score mark on the back.   No obvious edge wear.  All spine perfectly readable.    NO seam splits  NO rips/tears  NO writing.

MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint

EXCELLENT (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG) The record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratches. Normal wear and tear on the cover and extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable

GOOD (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeable deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and or deface

POOR (P) The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing

BAD (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken and is only of use as a collection filler
