Here's an original MONO 2 EYE copy of BOB DYLAN'S LP THE FREEWHEELIN' from 1963 # CL1986. The Cover front and back, spine and seams are in beautiful NEAR MINT CONDITION, with one exception (see photo) - There's a couple tears of the cover on the top right. So I'm grading it as an EX++. The record has background sound from some hairlines, and a couple pops that keep this from a better grade. There's no skips or jumps. The music does carry well above any background sounds.
What is there left to say about this LP. Every one of Dylan's LP's in the 60's, right up until his dramatic tour of '66, and his subsequent motorcycle accident, are adventures in the rise of one of The greatest artists of the time, and who will remain timeless. These songs are incredible, coming out of a folk tradition of Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, and others. With a youthful confidence he began to take the world by storm while we all hung on every word. In only 2 years after this LP, Dylan would create folk rock with his mid 60's LP's. He sent shock waves through the folk world. It's savior/hero, defying their traditions. This original first mono pressing is a time capsule. It's a grab at this price for someone who can deal with a little background sound, and a pop or 2.

The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.M - = (MINT MINUS) MINT- is not MINT but is very close to it, near new, there might be a blemish or two, but overall record and jacket are like new or very close to new.EX = (EXCELLENT) The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing. VG = (VERY GOOD) The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and theoccasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.G = (GOOD) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.F = (FAIR) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
