Description
Bob Dylan "bootleg" vinyl from 1991, No Mercy - Le Commandeur. To quote the inscription on the back of the record the tracks are 'alternate versions from "Oh Mercy" and "Under the Red Sky" ... recorded at Oh Mercy sessions, New Orleans, Spring 1989.' I was given this by the manager of a reputable independent record shop in Cheltenham - Badlands - in 1991. It's been played of course but it's also been well looked after as I am a massive Dylan fan. The front cover is near mint with only hairline scratches barely visible in normal light. The rear is equally good. The spine shows some slight scuffing (see pics) but the album title/artist/catalogue no. are clearly legible as the spine hasn't broken or torn from shelf wear/use. The inner paper sleeve is uncreased and contains the vinyl which is in mint condition. There are no superficial scratches or marks evident on the discs and the labels are mint also. Overall, I would happily describe this album as near mint condition based on all the elements together. As I say, the record has been in my possession since 1991 (nearly 25 years) and during that time has seen very light use which accounts for its condition. This is a rare item and as such will no doubt grab the attention of Dylan fans and collectors alike. So if you have any questions, please ask.
