Bob Dylan Original Photograph by Barry Feinstein (framed) plus the book ‘Real Moments’ by Barry Feinstein (sealed)
Barry Feinstein took this photograph at a sound check in Scotland in May 1966, in his capacity of official photographer on the 1966 European tour.
The photograph was made available to collectors for the first time in 2008 as part of Barry's first UK exhibition - Real Moments : Bob Dylan by Barry Feinstein, held at Snap Galleries in Birmingham.
BackgroundFew photographers had greater access to Bob Dylan than Barry Feinstein. Having taken the iconic photograph that appeared on Dylan's The Times They Are A-Changin' album in 1963, Feinstein was invited to cover Dylan's European tour in 1966. Barry's archives include some of the most important photographs of Bob Dylan ever made. Examples include the 1966 portrait of Dylan in Liverpool surrounded by street kids which the BBC recreated in 2007 with as many of the original participants as they could locate; and the iconic Aust Ferry portrait used on the cover of Martin Scorcese’s No Direction Home.

The photograph is a handmade 8 x 10 inch silver gelatin photograph, made in the darkroom from the original negative and signed by Barry Feinstein on the reverse. The photograph has been professionally framed by the Lemongrove Gallery in Chiswick, using a quality Black wooden dye frame.
The photograph was donated by Snap Galleries (UK Based Music Photography specialist gallery) in aid of Cancer Research UK Sound & Vision auction. The photograph is from an open edition that was created specially for the 2008 exhibition held at Snap Galleries in Birmingham.
