On offer from our personal collection comes one of the coolest Bob Dylan rarities we've acquired over the years, a stunning and VG++/Near Mint copy of the sensational double album, "Halloween Masque," released by the 4th Street label in limitied quantities, of Bob's Halloween show at Philharmic Hall, Oct. 31, 1964. Our copy has deluxe full color front and back cover (see our pics for details), and deluxe full color labels with printed song titles, and no marks or writing. Everything here is in very nice condition -- we'd call it a VG+/VG++ cover with no writing, seam splits, marks, etc (save for an old price sticker which we have chosen not to remove), solid corners with just minor creasing and rubbing at the corners, a hint of ringwear, but nothing major. A well-cared-for piece. Vinyl is glossy, clean, with no marks, scratches, defacing or skips etc...-- the same as when we bought it many years ago. According to the seminal Dylanphile resource and website bobsboots (look this site up on the Interwebs, you won't be sorry!), "this gem was released in 1988...an ultimate as far as sound quality. This is perhaps the first time that the show has been released on a good press and from the original tape sources. Back cover has a great write-up about the show. Full printed labels...quality is superb.." The Dylan expert there gives this album 10 out of 10 stars, and who are we to disagree? We need to thin the herd and pay some bills so this is a good chance to own a fantastic historical document and extremely scarce collector's piece for the hardcore Dylan fan.
