All records are graded to the Record Collector Guidelines, with extra information added as required when play tested. Also all photos above are of the exact record you will receive if purchased.
This record is in excellent condition. It has spindle marks visible on the labels but no pen marks, scuffs or fading. The centres show mild wear but are not loose or worn. There is an old record shop sticker on side 1(see pics). Overall the CBS 'walking eye' labels are clean, bright and still in good shape but with a few issues as mentioned.
As for the vinyl itself, both sides have nothing deep or serious showing but there is the odd light line/mark and some minor sleeve scuffs showing when angled in normal light. There is nothing major but the record is used and is nearly 50 years old so there is light signs of this in places. Overall this vintage used record is still in good playable condition with no nasty scuffs or serious marks and a lovely lustre.I play tested the record and it played very well with very enjoyable audio of excellent clarity overall. It lays flat on the deck and upon playing there is only the slightest possible hint of movement in the record arm. The audio has no skips, sticks or major ticks with just a few very minor ones in the first track. These ticks I mention are minor but there was 1 light one just into track 1 followed by another(but this second one was barely even audible). Other than these 'two ticks' there was also 2 or 3 further ones near the end of the track. These were again very light and not hugely disruptive but sound lightly and are caused by a small spot or tiny mark. Other than these two 'sets' of very minor ticks there was little to report. The general audio is clear and defined with little to no surface noise audible and no distortion caused by excessive use. Overall it was a pleasure to play test and the audio was a strong grade of EX throughout in my opinion.
The front laminated sleeve which is made my 'Ernest J Day & Co LTD' is in very good condition. It has some rubbing and mild wear to the edges and corners but the writing along the spine is still just about legible. There is no tears or pen marks but there is a scuff or area of damage on the rear. This is the main issue on the sleeve and is the reason for lower grading. Other than this there is some age related issues such as some discolouring to the rear, light ring marks to both sides and mild creasing to the laminated front. Overall a solid sleeve with some age related wear and the area of damage to the rear as mentioned. I have tried to describe the sleeve as best I can but please study the pictures provided to gain as much information as possible as to its condition.
It includes a plain white poly-lined inner but this is very tatty with discolouring, grubbiness and heavy creasing. I will therefore send the record in a brand new plain white replacement to ensure the record remains clean and fresh.
The record will be packaged in cardboard stiffeners and bubble wrapped thoroughly when dispatched. It will also be sent in a brand new protective plastic sleeve, and within 24hrs of receiving payment to try to ensure a swift delivery.I hope my photos are comprehensive enough but if you have any questions then don't hesitate to contact me. Also please check my eBay feedback for a positive history of record grading, A1 communication and quick delivery times.
