This record is in good+ condition. It has spindle marks and rubbing visible on the labels but no scuffs, pen marks or severe fading anywhere. There is some wear to the centre holes but these are not overly worn or loose. Overall the textured orange CBS labels are bright and free of any major problems but with spindle marks and rubbing present.
As for the vinyl itself, there is nothing really nasty but there is light scratches, surface lines, sleeve scuffs and marks visible in normal light. There is nothing deep or really sinister however as I say but there are lots of the light surface lines and so the record doesnt appear beautifully clean. All these lines and clear signs of use show under bright light along with more wispy lines, but again there is nothing really sinister evident. Despite being clearly well used it still has a decent shine and is free of serious marks as I say.
I play tested the record and it plays well overall with enjoyable audio, but audio that is not pristine. It lays flat on the deck and there is minimal movement in the record arm upon playing. The sound produced is far from a disaster and I enjoyed both sides but there is some issues that I noted and also some surface noise audible throughout. The surface noise is worse in some parts than others, but never is at a level to be really disruptive. Other than the surface noise I also noted a click or loud pop(no skip on my system) in track 1, side 1. Also noted was 3-4 clicks at the beginning of track 2, side 1 and some faint clicks or spluttering in track 4, side 1. I noted no stand out issues such as these no side 2 but there was surface noise and general interference in places. So overall not a pristine audio experience but one that was far from horrific and that I enjoyed throughout. I have graded as G+ to compensate for its imperfection and think this is fair considering there are no skips or sticks and it actually plays decent.
The sleeve is in very good condition. It has some wear to the edges and corners but these are all strong with no splits and the writing along the spine all still legible. There are no tears or pen marks anywhere but these is a set of scuffs on the rear near to the track listings(pics). There is also a tape or sticker mark on the rear, near the bottom edge area(also pictured). Other than these two issues the sleeve has general age related wear with discolouring/grubbiness to the rear and laminate creasing to the front. These are not at drastic levels but there is some evident. Overall a solid sleeve with no major structural issues but the scuffs and tape mark as mentioned, along with general age related grubbiness/creasing. I have tried to describe it as best I can but please study the pictures provided to gain as much information as possible as to its condition.
It contains its original plain white poly-lined inner in very good condition. This is solid enough with no splits but does have age related discolouring, creasing and a 1cm tear to the central window on one side.
The record will be packaged in cardboard stiffeners and bubble wrapped thoroughly when dispatched. It will also be sent in a brand new protective plastic sleeve, and within 24hrs of receiving payment to try to ensure a swift delivery.
