I have for auction from my own collection this stunning original release by Bob Dylan.Since i purchased this record i have only played it a couple of times. This copy is in trully stunning condition and the chances of finding one better are very unlikely. This album is 48 years old which is very hard to believe when you look at it and more importantly play it.
The sleeve is in almost as new condition, there are no splits, tears or laminate lift. This 1st press copy has the fold over flaps on the rear and these are completely undamaged. The white rear of the sleeve is in amazing condition and virtually blemish free. There are a couple of tiny creases near to the perfect spine but these are hardly noticeable.I was tempted to grade this sleeve near mint but to protect my feedback will settle on exc+++.Don't be put off by this grading,i have bought many new albums with sleeves that are nowhere near as pristine as this one.
The heavy vinyl (still in original poly lined inner)is also in stunning condition, there are no scratches at all.If examined under strong light it still has its original shine and lustre. There is one faint hairline on each side but these are only visible under a strong direct light source. They in no way affect the superb audio performance of this pressing.I played this album on my £18,000 Linn Naim system before listing it and found the pressing to be superb.Surface noise is low and the sound quality is 1st class. You do not notice that this is a mono recording with just a solo performer.I will grade the vinyl visully as exc+++again to protect my feedback.I have a half speed master copy of this album and the pressing quality is no better than this one.
I have opened the bidding at what must be a low price for such collectable record. As always i offer a full refund if not satisfied, but please contact me first. This avoids any negative responses which is no good to either party.GOOD LUCK!
