Description
BOB DYLAN The Times They Are A-Changin' 1964 UK CBS 1st *STEREO*
BOB DYLANThe Times They Are A-Changin'
UK CBS (SBPG 62251) FIRST *STEREO* PRESSING (May 1964) OF "The Times They Are A-Changin'"
PRESSED ON HEAVYWEIGHT VINYL (147g) WITH HEAVILY TEXTURED DEEP ORANGE LABELS WHICH HAVE THE '33' SPEED INDICATION, "RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED 1964" STATEMENT AND 'MT' TAX CODE EMBOSSED ON SIDE ONE
MATRIX: SBPG 62251 1Y// 1▽420 / SBPG 62251 2Y// 1▽420 (pressed by Philips)
THE RECORD IS HOUSED IN THE ORIGINAL FRONT LAMINATED SLEEVE WITH *STEREO* PRINTED ON THE FRONT AND A PASTED-ON BACK PANEL (no printers credits)
SIDE 1: THE TIMES THEY ARE A-CHANGIN' / BALLAD OF HOLLIS BROWN / WITH GOD ON OUR SIDE / ONE TOO MANY MORNINGS / NORTH COUNTRY BLUES
SIDE 2: ONLY A PAWN IN THEIR GAME / BOOTS OF SPANISH LEATHER / WHEN THE SHIP COMES IN / THE LONESOME DEATH OF HATTIE CARROLL / RESTLESS FAREWELL
LABELS: EXCELLENT
Clean, unmarked labels with light spindle traces - which show readily on these textured labels
VINYL Visual: EXCELLENT
Both surfaces retain their original deep glossy sheen with only a few light and superficial marks
VINYL Audio: EXCELLENT
This copy has seen a few spins but only on quality equipment - the sound is clear, crisp and fresh. A touch of surface was noted on the run-ins and between some of the tracks but there are no scratches and only a few clicks which rise above background level are present (nothing I found at all intrusive). Overall, a very nice copy which plays extremely well throughout
SLEEVE: EXCELLENT
Fine example - some light knocks to the corners and age-toning to the back but no markings or rub to the edges or spine - all spine text is clear and bold
POST & PACKING:
