BOB DYLAN + JOAN BAEZ + PETE SEEGER – WITH GOD ON OUR SIDE - Fontana EP TFE.18009 (British 45 rpm Mono). Disc and Sleeve are borderline Near Mint/Near Mint Minus.
This extremely rare British EP was extracted from LPs originally released on the Vanguard label in the U.S. Due to copyright conflicts involving Columbia, Vanguard and Fontana, Fontana was forced to recall them almost immediately. There were three of these EPs in all. Vinylking46 auctioned Vol. II in this series last month and will be offering Vol. III in April of 2009. This one, however, the 1st in the series of three, featured Bob’s performance of “With God On Our Side” from July of 1963 at Newport, along with similarly dated performances by Joan Baez (Wagoner’s Lad) and Pete Seeger (The Bells of Rhymney). All vinyl records from VinylKing46 (eBay’s ORIGINAL VINYLKING) are pre-cleaned and inserted into paper inner sleeves before mailing to Buyer (unless factory sealed). Discs are packaged separately from sleeves to protect against seam splitting. Sleeves are inserted into mylar outer sleeves and both disc and sleeve are shipped in 7” EP/45-specific boxes and packed with bubble wrap or hard cardboard.
I grade conservatively and by Goldmine standards.
