Condition:
DISC: Vinyl is visual VG+/EXCELLENT with full original gloss. Both sides play-grade EXCELLENT. Has been played a small number of times – most likely once at the radio station and a second time when we play-graded it. Side 1 has a few light paper scuffs, and one deeper scuff on a portion of Track 1 ending about halfway through Track 2 – it is feelable but not audible or distracting – both sides play beautifully. Probably happened when it was being reviewed at the radio station. Side 2 is EXCELLENT with only a couple slight hairline paper scuffs that again are not audible. This is a great sounding album with superb fidelity. Labels are clean. As with all my albums, your satisfaction is fully guaranteed.
JACKET: Jacket is nice VG++ with nice bright panels. Promotional timing strip sticker is affixed and fully intact at the bottom of front panel. Front panel has some staining around the edges (most pronounced at the bottom), and light traces of ring wear. Top seam has a small split (approximately one inch) at top left, and the bottom seam has a smaller split (approximately ½”) at right edge. Reverse is overall clean, has a bit of clear tape at center of right side and traces of ring wear. No writing or stickers (except for the promotional strip). Overall a very nice promotional jacket to accompany the great sounding disc.

“Taking the first, electric side of Bringing It All Back Home to its logical conclusion, Bob Dylan hired a full rock & roll band, featuring guitarist Michael Bloomfield, for Highway 61 Revisited. Opening with the epic "Like a Rolling Stone," Highway 61 Revisited careens through nine songs that range from reflective folk-rock ("Desolation Row") and blues ("It Takes a Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry") to flat-out garage rock ("Tombstone Blues," "From a Buick 6," "Highway 61 Revisited"). Dylan had not only changed his sound, but his persona, trading the folk troubadour for a streetwise, cynical hipster. Throughout the album, he embraces druggy, surreal imagery, which can either have a sense of menace or beauty, and the music reflects that, jumping between soothing melodies to hard, bluesy rock. And that is the most revolutionary thing about Highway 61 Revisited -- it proved that rock & roll needn't be collegiate and tame in order to be literate, poetic, and complex.”
