From 1962, comes the first album by Bob Dylan, simply entitled Bob Dylan on Columbia CL1779 MONO DJ promo 6 eye label. This original LP contains thirteen songs. Rare first issue promo of this LP! It is the original 6 eye label (see photo) with "Demonstration record-not for sale"printed on the label. The front cover has a circular 3" sticker in silver with black print. There is a star on it with printed writing inside,saying "A new star on Columbia records". The rear cover is stamped "Demonstration-Not for sale" and the lower right of the rear cover has a thick,fat number. This indicates that it is a first cover for this title! Later presses did not use a thick number, instead they used a thin number! All original promos of this album were label-stamped, such as this one!!! Any gold colored CSP stickers reading "Promotional...Not for sale" are NOT the first cover for this album! They are from 1964 or later! This knowledge is gleaned from looking at three HUGE Dylan collections in three different decades and also speaking with these educated Dylan collectors! This copy is a TRUE first promotional issue!

Accompanied by its original Eye inner sleeve!

White along seams, with some paper loss,radio station sticker upper left (looks to be easily removable),seam splits at upper and lower right at seam openings,high spot dirt.

Cover is better than VG+ but not VG++, label has spindle marks and record is VG++!!
