Description
So much has been written about this recording, so I will try to keep it short. Per Wikipedia, Blonde on Blonde is the seventh studio album by singer-songwriter Bob Dylan, released as a double album in June, 1966, by Columbia Records. The album completed the trilogy of rock albums that Dylan recorded in 1965 and 1966, starting with Bringing It All Back Home and Highway 61 Revisited. It was one of the first double albums in rock music. The album peaked at number nine on the Billboard Top LPs chart in the US, where it eventually was certified double platinum. In 1999, the album was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame, and was ranked number 38 in Rolling Stone's list of the "500 Greatest Albums of All Time" in 2020. The album up for sale is a 1966 recording and a first pressing from Columbia Records Terre Haute pressing facility. It consists of 14 tracks with a run time of 72+ minutes. There are several of Dylan's greatest songs including the hit singles "Rainy Day Women #12 & 35" and "I Want You", as well as including such compositions as "Just Like a Woman" and "Visions of Johanna".
The cover is in G+/VG condition. The major flaw is the front cover which has a tear in the upper right surface. There is moderate wear along the edges, but there are no split seams, bent corners, creases or markings on the album. There are signs of disk wear on the upper front cover and the bottom of the back cover. The interior covers of this gatefold album is without blemish.
The paper inner sleeves are original and also enclosed the recordins in an anti static vinyl sleeve for added protection from dust accumalation.
The recordings have been cleaned and tested using Audacity. All tracks have been played through and all tracks are free of skips. There is minimal background noise that consists of an occasional "click" that does not significantly interfere with the music. The sound is clear and mellow. The record surfaces show mild signs of wear, but are free from scratches and scuffs to the touch. The surfaces retain their gloss and the labels are clean and intact.
