LP 10" Pacific Jazz PJLP-12 ( USA)

Los Angeles, May 1954

Jacket :    VG+

Strong cardboard jacket in VG+ condition.

The front cover is clean with NO wear along the spine, but just on seams, near both right corners. Corners have lost a little bit of sharpness and some wear can be noticed (see picture), with a very little bump on lower right corner, affected  by a few little creases. There is NO evident ring wear and both cover sizes are clean. Please, look at my cover scan.

Vinyl :   VG+

Under a strong lamp the lustre vinyl looks in VG+ condition and the record seems played with care. On both sides a few little signs and rubs can be noticed, but nothing which can be detected by fingernail, resulting in a very low background noise just on slow passages, but not affected by pops or clicks. Overall a very nice and enjoyable rare vinyl, considering the age, in comparison with the average conditions of most of 10” Lps from the 50’s.

Catalogue/Label :

LP 10” PACIFIC JAZZ PJLP-12, 1st US wide deep grove pressing with Pacific Jazz black label and silver lettering. Both Labels are in very nice conditions and apparently show NO marks around the spindle hole.  Please look at my label scans.

GRADING CODE

Grading is VISUAL, under a bright light.

NM (Near Mint): Record has been opened, and probably played, but is in impeccable condition. I do not use "mint".

EX  (Excellent): Has signs of use or storage, but still considered top collection quality. Jackets may display some very light wear; vinyl may have a few light sleeve marks only visible in the highest light. Sound will full and clear, with little if any noise (NOTE, some records are just pressed poorly).

VG+ (Very Good Plus): Still a great copy but has a bit more wear. Vinyl may have some light scuffs or scratches, but nothing deep. Jacket may have some ringwear or seamwear. Sound should be great, with minimal if any noise.

VG Very Good): A great play copy but clearly used. Vinyl will display many hairline scuffs or scratches, but will play with a tolerable amount of noise. Jacket may have splits and wear but will not be falling apart.

VG-  Very Good Minus): A used or worn copy, that has not been taken good care of. Vinyl will have many scuffs or scratches, but play through enjoyably despite audible background noise. Covers will have tears, splits, writing, or other issues.

G  Fair, Poor: A very rough copy. Will play through without skipping unless otherwise noted, although records of this grade are sold AS-IS.

DISCOMANE will guarantee an absolute conservative record grading
