BOB JAMES TRIO – Explosions (1965) ESP-1009 – M-/M- (cover/vinyl)
Really rare and killer early avant / free jazz by Bob James on piano with Barre Phillips on bass and Robert Pozar on drums. The tracks are “Peasant Boy,” “Untitled Mixes,” “Explosions,” “An On,” and “Wolfman.” Never see this one – same label as early Sun Ra.
This is a beautiful copy. The cover is bright and tight and in original shrink wrap. The vinyl is beautiful and looks unplayed. I grade this conservatively: M-/M- (cover/vinyl).
