This is an original UNITED STATES OF AMERICA FIRST AND ONLY PRESSING of the HESSIAN BOX SET PROMO PRESSING of RASTAMAN VIBRATION by BOB MARLEY and THE WAILERS from 1976.
WHAT A STUNNING PACKAGE THIS IS FOR THE BOB MARLEY and the REGGAE COLLECTOR. SURELY this would be the JEWEL in the CROWN of any Marley or Reggae collection !
MADE IN THE USA in 1976 this STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL HESSIAN Promotional box set was produced for radio stations to promote Bob Marley and the Wailers NEW ALBUM RASTAMAN VIBRATION. THE SUPERB HESSIAN OUTER cover is about an inch thick and is very strong and heavy . Really well made ! The Hessian completely covers very thick sturdy card board, and folds up like a huge envelope to house the gate fold LP RASTAMAN VIBRATION and all the other promo items. The front of the Hessian case has a die cut shot of Bob Marley that is also the front shot of the LP. There is a rare PROMO ONLY pamphlet and a very rare OFFICIAL ISLAND PROMO ONLY shot of BOB MARLEY and very rare PROMO ONLY huge BOB MARLEY scrap book with this great item. The gate fold sleeve to the actual album is in MINT CONDITION. The inside of this gate fold is very heavily textured ALL the way around the inside edges. This was done on BOB MARLEY`s request so that anyone who was listening to his new LP would always have somewhere they could grind up their BUD for a smoke.
THEY DON`T MAKE EM LIKE THIS ANY MORE !!! The hessian box has a couple of loose ends and ware to the flap. Other than that THIS RARE GEM IS A CORKER !!! The record has a beautiful luster sheen to both sides and looks like a brand new record. Only under a bright light you can see the lightest hairlines possible. The record grades as EXCELLENT MINUS .
